Born in India to cosmopolitan parents, more commonly known as Anglo-Indians, Ivan moved to London at the age of 9, where he undertook study amidst the great atmosphere and inspirational music of the late 60s and early 70s.
Ivan completed his apprenticeship as an armature winder. He gained certificates through the City and Guild of London Institute Incorporated by the Royal Charter before embarking on a 27 year career in the electrical motor industry with Dowding & Mills. His skills are diverse, ranging from sales, customer service and personnel to marketing, finance and administration. This career took Ivan and his family from London to the cold beauty of Canada before making their final stop in sunny Brisbane in 1988.
Brisbane’s real estate market has long held a keen fascination for Ivan, so much so that when he was ready for a career change, there was only one choice. To become a very successful real estate consultant.
Married to Glenda for 32 years (evidence of Ivan’s love of long-term relationships!) Ivan and family live at Carseldine. He has two children Scott, 28, and Nicola, 26.
Ivan is a keen golfer who plays off a 6 handicap. He was a participant in the golf tournaments at both the World Masters in Brisbane in 1994 and the Australian Masters in Melbourne in 1997, the Mitsibushi Challenge on the Gold Coast in 2005 and Pat O'Driscoll Real Estate Tropical Auto Group in Capricorn 2006.
Ivan’s extensive world travels allow him to bring an international perspective to Bertie Real Estate. His exposure to so many cultures and lifestyle has served to broaden his horizons and fine-tune his communication and people skills.

Carol O'Shea

Growing up in the inner suburb of Brighton in Melbourne, Carol was the youngest of five children. Once she had finished Year 12, she went on to successfully complete a Diploma of Teaching (Primary). Shortly afterwards she married and had the opportunity to purchase a home in the Dandenong Ranges.
Once pregnant with her second child a decision had to be made to either extend or move house. She and her husband chose the latter and found a beautiful block of land on which they built a home they designed themselves When the children were of school age, Carol completed her Bachelor of Education and continued teaching for a total of 14 yrs That time proved to be a useful platform on which to build experience in organisational, communication and people skills.
To relax, her love of music, dancing, playing the piano and the outdoors has played a big part in her life.
During the past years she has had several more moves- the last being to Queensland. With the change of environment came a change of career. After all the positive experiences of renting, buying and selling homes a passion for property steadily emerged. An exciting opportunity arose for her to start up with Harcourts Real Estate and so she commenced at Samford and has recently moved to the Albany Creek office.
Carol is empathetic towards clients who are going through the emotional process of buying and selling. She understands the importance of being able to trust the professional who is handling the procedures associated with one of life’s most important decisions. It is her desire to provide honest, caring and non-pressured service and go the extra mile in assisting those with real estate needs.

As the youngest child of a large Italian family, Rosa was exposed to the real estate industry at a very young age through her family's involvement in residential development and construction. That exposure has led her to become an avid investor, successful agent and tenacious property manager.
After completing her schooling at Mt Alvernia College and commencing studies in travel and tourism Rosa's other passion, travelling, saw her visit Europe, the United States and Asia. This also led to a number of years working at the Brisbane International Airport in a variety of client service based roles prior to returning to the industry she knows and loves.
In 2004 Rosa married Michael, the love of her life, and the couple now resides in Aspley. Rosa has been a local resident to Brisbane's north for all her life and has an in-depth understanding of the local marketplace. Further, through her past involvement in property management; Rosa understands the complexities of the industry in a way that most agents will never come to fully understand.
Rosa has developed a strong understanding of the essential qualities and skills clients look for in an agent, and is committed to delivering them.
